Our goal at Kestrel Meadow is to make alpaca and alpaca products affordable. All of our products are made from the finest 100% natural and 100% pure alpaca fiber. It is all fiber from our farm, processed locally, hand-spun and hand-crafted. We believe you will not find finer products at better prices anywhere. Because all of our products are hand-crafted, they are each a unique creation. The pictures are to give you an idea of what can be made, but no two items will ever be identical. Craft Supplies and Kits

Premium, locally processed, 100% alpaca yarn, $20 for 100 – 200 yards skeins, depending on the weight. Some are hand-spun (usually about 100 yards and a heavier weight); some are machine spun (200 yards and a finer weight).

All Kestrel Meadow Yarn is locally raised, and locally processed.

Alpaca fiber is naturally hypoallergenic and contains no lanolin.

Softer and warmer than wool and with no “scratchy” feel, you have to feel it to believe it.

Beginner’s Hand Loom Kits, $25

Includes hand loom, hook and two half-skeins of yarn.

Kits are available in a variety of color combinations.

Rug Roving Kits in a variety of colors, $35 for 25 - 30 yards

Includes enough rovings to make a roughly 9”x18” Energizing Bleacher Cushion.

Also includes a hand made wooden crochet hook.

Felted Soap Kits

$15 for two soaps

Includes soap, alpaca fiber, and felting instructions, and a hand-made soap tray.

The soaps are extra-large, homemade, coconut oil soaps.

Soap scents include Lavender, Cranberry, Cinnamon Vanilla, Blueberry, Lilac, Oatmeal Cookie, Honey Oatmeal, Purely Herbal, Huckleberry, Chocolate Mint, Lemon Peal, Fresh Rain, Apple, and more. There is even a specially formulated soap for your pet.

The fiber is 100% locally grown alpaca fiber that has been locally washed and carded.

Soaps are provided by Penrose Gardens.

Rovings, for spinning your own yarn, $5.00 / oz, $4.00 / oz in larger quantities.

Rovings can be purchased in bumps (not shown) or bags/loose (above).

Sheets of batting are also available for the same price.

Rovings can also be purchased in sample sizes (½ - ¾ oz. cups) for $5.00.

Alpaca Manure Fertilizer

Kestrel Meadow Alpaca has well aged, seasoned alpaca manure fertilizer. Rich, black earth ready to spread. Just turned to keep it well aerated and composting.

We typically sell our manure for only $1 per gallon

Or, if you need larger quantities, I can load your open pickup bed for

$25 for one tractor scoop (approx. ⅓ yard)

$150 for a 6’ pickup bed full (approx 2 yards)

$200 for an 8’ pickup bed full (approx 2⅔ yards)

I estimate that one full tractor scoop is 9 cubic feet, ⅓ cubic yard, or 67 gallons.

I have a tractor with a loader to load your pickup. All you need to bring is a pickup with an open bed (no canopy). I'll load your truck for you until it is good and full. If you want to fill in the corners and pack it in well, bring a shovel or rake to arrange the load as I load it.

Be aware that manure is very heavy, so you may decide you want less than a full load. We can adjust the price accordingly.

Bat Guano Fertilizer

Well aged, seasoned bat guano (manure) fertilizer. Buy a five gallon bucket full or in smaller quantities.

$4 for 1 quart

$40 for 5 gallons (that is a savings of 50%)

The best way to apply this as fertilizer is to dissolve it slowly in water, much the same way you'd make sun-tea, then sprinkle it on the soil around plants - avoiding getting it on the plants. Used this way it is a safe and effective fertilizer, and a quart will cover a large area.
